We’re looking to add a skilled and hard-working mason to our team. In this role, it will be your job to help us create chimneys and fireplaces for our clients out of bricks, concrete, natural and man-made stone.
Your tasks may also include tearing down old masonry structures and replacing them with new ones. You’ll need to lift, carry, and place prepared blocks to accomplish this. You’ll also need to be familiar with common masonry techniques and capable of using various hand and power tools without needing much supervision.
We’d prefer to hire a candidate who has either completed an apprenticeship in masonry or has previous experience in a similar role. But we may make an exception if we find the right candidate without these qualifications. If you think that you would be a good fit for our mason job, then you can start the application process by sending over your resume. We look forward to reviewing it.
Candidate needs to be able to perform the following duties: Installing, repairing and maintaining gas logs, fireplaces and gas appliances. Testing for gas leaks. Installing and connecting appliances to gas and electrical supplies. Retrofitting. Testing and replacing defective equipment or components. Troubleshooting gas appliance operating issues. Educating clients on safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems.
As an Apprentice Chimney Technician, you are eager to learn! Working alongside our lead technician, you are able to learn how to properly inspect and repair chimneys from the best in the business. Each job starts with you driving a company truck to the job site. Once you arrive at a customer's home, you prepare it for inspection by unpacking the truck, laying down mats and drop cloths, preparing protective equipment, and bringing vacuums and other equipment into the home. Then, you are able to build your skills as you assist with chimney cleanings, inspections, and repairs.
Your organizational skills come into play as you maintain the company truck, warehouse, and clean up after jobs. You love that each workday brings a new change of scenery, and you are excited to advance in your career as you continue to increase your skillset.
We are searching for a sales-minded service technician.
